Google Favors Own Shopping Site In Searches: Brazilian Co.

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 6:47 PM EST) -- E-Commerce Media, which owns two Brazilian comparison shopping websites, has accused Google Inc. of unfairly boosting the ranking of its Google Shopping service in search results, Brazil's Ministry of Justice said Wednesday.

The owner of shopping comparison sites Buscape and Bondfaro filed a complaint with the ministry's antitrust division, alleging the Web search giant favors Google Shopping over organic search results, the ministry said in a notice.
