Caterpillar Blasts Kirkland & Ellis' Discovery Requests

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 5:04 PM EST) -- Caterpillar Inc. on Wednesday objected to Miller UK Ltd.’s counsel Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s discovery requests in Illinois federal court, calling them excessive and beyond the scope of Miller’s contract and trade secrets suit against the construction giant.

In a memorandum, Caterpillar said Miller’s new counsel, Kirkland & Ellis, seeks documents beyond what was agreed upon with Miller’s former counsel.
