GAO Sides Against Army In $16M Cleaning Contract Fight

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 4:01 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office revealed Wednesday that it had sustained Apex-MBM JV's protest over a $16 million U.S. Army housekeeping services contract handed to Wilson Technologies Inc.

In an Oct. 3 decision, the GAO ruled that the Army had wrongly rejected Apex-MBM's bid to provide cleaning services at three Army medical facilities in Maryland by using unstated criteria to evaluate the joint venture's proposal.
