Madoff Feeder Funds' Ch. 11 Plan OK'd

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 8:27 PM EST) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Thursday approved two Fairfield Greenwich Group-affiliated funds' Chapter 11 plans, giving his OK to the Madoff feeder funds' $212 million settlement with trustee Irving Picard.

The decision, issued by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Burton R. Lifland, marks a key step toward wrapping up the bankruptcies of what had been major sources of money for Bernard L. Madoff's Ponzi scheme. The plan calls for the funds to settle with Picard and return most remaining money to investors.
