Congress Approves Two-Month Payroll Tax Deal

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 7:34 PM EST) -- Lawmakers on Friday approved a deal to extend the payroll tax cut for two months, a deal that includes a provision that will force the Obama administration to make a decision on the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline within 60 days.

Both houses of Congress passed the deal Friday morning by unanimous consent.
