Former Fluor Employee Settles Kickback Claims

Law360, New York (January 3, 2012, 7:43 PM EST) -- A former Fluor Corp. employee who allegedly accepted an Outback Steakhouse gift card as a kickback has agreed to pay $11,000 and may testify against others in a federal investigation over nuclear waste contracts at the Hanford Site in Washington state, prosecutors confirmed Tuesday.

The settlement comes on the heels of the federal indictment of Shane Fast, a subcontractor who allegedly paid $40,000 in kickbacks to Fluor employees in exchange for $3.9 million worth of orders to his company, Fast Pipe and Supply Co. Fluor subsidiary...
