Whirlpool Accuses Samsung, LG Of Dumping Washers

Law360, New York (January 3, 2012, 8:14 PM EST) -- Whirlpool Corp. on Friday asked U.S. international trade regulators to investigate whether South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and LG Electronics Inc. are selling their imported clothing washing machines at below fair value.

The company lodged anti-dumping petitions over the two companies' imports from South Korea and Mexico with both the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration.

Whirlpool likewise filed a countervailing duty petition over the residential washers from South Korea.
