E-PASS Sues VISA Over E-Commerce Patent

Law360, New York (November 11, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- E-PASS Technologies sued VISA International and VISA USA in federal court in Oakland, California, alleging patent infringement, the company said.

The complaint charges VISA with unauthorized use of patented technology for a portable e-commerce device, first presented to the card company at a business meeting with the inventor.
