DuPont Invests In NexSteppe To Develop Biofuels

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 3:13 PM EST) -- Chemical maker DuPont Co. has made an equity investment for an undisclosed amount in NexSteppe Inc. and will collaborate with the biofuel developer to create advanced feedstocks for biofuels and other products, DuPont said Wednesday.

The companies' efforts will focus on developing new sweet sorghum and high-biomass sorghum hybrids to add feedstock options for biofuels, biopower and other biochemical-derived fossil fuel-based products, they said.
