Chrysler Shifts Fuel Spitback Suit To Federal Court

Law360, Chicago (January 4, 2012, 7:49 PM EST) -- Chrysler Group LLC removed to Delaware federal court on Tuesday a putative nationwide class action alleging it failed to properly recall and repair certain Jeep Wranglers and Dodge Durangos suffering from a safety defect that causes fuel spills.

In its notice pulling the suit from Delaware state court, Chrysler said the federal court has jurisdiction under the Class Action Fairness Act because the case involves at least 100 putative class members and the money at stake likely exceeds $5 million, as the plaintiffs are demanding vehicle...
