Obama Makes 3 Recess Appointments To NLRB

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 6:09 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday made three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board to fill vacant seats that would have paralyzed the agency.

The appointments of Democrats Sharon Block and Richard Griffin and Republican Terence F. Flynn to the NLRB came hours after the White House announced that Obama would use a recess appointment to install Richard Cordray as director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
