Former St. Luke's Phlebotomist Sues Over OT Pay

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 8:34 PM EST) -- An ex-St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network worker launched a putative overtime collective action in Pennsylvania on Wednesday accusing the hospital system of failing to pay employees for all time worked and deducting time for lunch regardless of whether breaks were actually taken.

The Fair Labor Standards Act suit was brought by Kelly Reed, a former phlebotomist who said she worked for St. Luke's from roughly August 2009 through March. Workers can't clock in even a minute late without facing discipline, but they can clock in...
