N.Y. Sues ExxonMobil Over Brooklyn Spill

Law360, New York (July 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday filed a suit against ExxonMobil Corp. and four other oil companies over an oil spill that began leaking into a city creek over seventy years ago.

“ExxonMobil—the largest, most profitable oil corporation in the world—has continually refused to accept responsibility for what is one of the worst environmental disasters in the nation’s history,” Cuomo said.
