Olympus Sues Ex-Chair, 2 Others Over Accounting Scandal

Law360, New York (January 9, 2012, 1:27 PM EST) -- Olympus Corp. on Monday reportedly sued its former chairman and at least two other former executives, alleging that they were responsible for the massive accounting fraud that has roiled the Japanese camera and medical device maker.

Olympus filed the suits against former Chairman Tsuyoshi Kikukawa as well as former Executive Vice President Hisashi Mori and former company auditor Hideo Yamada in a Tokyo court seeking damages from the individuals, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
