Wall Street Asks DC Circ. To Delay Position Limits

Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 12:13 PM EST) -- A pair of Wall Street industry groups on Tuesday asked a federal appeals court to block the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission from implementing its position limits rule while the two groups press to have the rule tossed.

In an appeal brief filed in the District of Columbia Circuit, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association said that implementation of the position limit rule while the battle over its existence goes on could severely increase costs for commodity trading...
