Loan Officers Slap Citizens Banks With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (January 11, 2012, 5:09 PM EST) -- Three former mortgage loan officers for banks owned by Citizens Financial Group Inc. fired off a putative class and collective action in Rhode Island federal court Monday claiming the banks improperly classified them as exempt from state and federal overtime pay requirements.

Plaintiffs Cindy Ginter, Annemarie Rogers and Lisa Kaufman accused Citizens' Rhode Island-based subsidiaries RBS Citizens NA, which operates as COO Mortgage, Charter One and Citizens Bank of willfully denying overtime in violation of the Fair Labor and Standards Act and Pennsylvania state statutes....
