Solutia Requests Another Exclusivity Extension

Law360, New York (July 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt chemical company Solutia Inc. has asked the court for yet another extension of its exclusivity period for filing a reorganization plan.

In court documents filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Solutia said an extra five months would allow it to consummate and confirm the reorganization plan it filed May 16 and amended July 9. It was the 12th time Solutia had asked for an exclusivity extension since it went bankrupt in 2003.
