ITC To Probe Digitude's IP Claims Against Amazon, Others

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 8:15 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that it would investigate patent holding company Digitude Innovations Inc.'s allegations that Inc.'s Kindle, as well as tablets and smartphones made by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., HTC Corp. and others, infringe four patents.

The commission voted to pursue the complaint lodged in December by Alexandria, Va.-based Digitude, which also named Research In Motion Ltd., Pantech Wireless Inc., Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc., Sony Corp. and Nokia Corp. as defendants.
