Airline Group Can't Block $3B Ex-Im Loan To Air India

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 10:49 PM EST) -- A Washington federal judge on Friday denied the Air Transport Association of America Inc.'s request for a preliminary injunction barring the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. from making $3.4 billion in loans to the financially troubled Air India Ltd.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg said the industry trade organization, now called Airlines for America, had failed to show how its member airlines would suffer irreparable harm in the absence of an injunction barring the delivery of 30 Boeing airplanes to Air India.
