Following Objection, NYRA Gets Shorter Extension

Law360 (July 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The court overseeing the Chapter 11 proceedings of the New York Racing Association has granted the racetrack operator's request for an extension of its exclusive rights to file and solicit support for a reorganization plan, after the NYRA modified its extension bid following an objection from the unsecured creditors committee.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge James M. Peck signed off on an order Wednesday extending the NYRA's exclusive filing rights through Nov. 15, 2007, and its exclusive solicitation rights through Jan. 15, 2008.
