US Must Bolster Car Electronic Safety Standards: Report

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 11:12 PM EST) -- A study released Wednesday backed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's conclusions that unintended acceleration problems in Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles were not caused by an electronic malfunction, and recommended measures to help the NHTSA better ensure the safe performance of vehicle electronics systems.
