Chemical Cos. Strike Deals In Plastic Additives Suits

Law360, New York (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mitsubishi Rayon America Inc. and Ferro Corp. have agreed to settle some allegations in an an ongoing suit that alleges they conspired with other chemical companies to fix prices for plastics additives, the companies said Friday.

Mitsubishi Rayon was dismissed with prejudice from the suit PolyOne Corp. brought against it over two years ago in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Attorneys for the company declined to comment on the amount of the settlement.

Ferro Corp., however, is being dismissed without prejudice....
