Pillsbury, Shaw Pittman Merger Creates IP Powerhouse

Law360, New York (February 15, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- The proposed merger between Pillsbury Winthrop LLP and Shaw Pittman LLP will create one of the largest intellectual property groups in the U.S. and give the combined firms a dominating position among general-practice firms in the Washington, DC area.

The new firm, to be called Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, will be one of the 20 largest in the U.S. by revenue and will have 900 attorneys in 16 offices.
