Drug Exec, Son Sentenced To Jail For Insider Trading

Law360, New York (July 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has sentenced a former Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. executive, his lawyer son and the son's friend to time behind bars for allegedly participating in an insider trading scheme that earned them more than $2 million.

The former vice president of Taro, 62-year-old Zvi Rosenthal, on Friday received the harshest sentence—five years in prison and a fine of $100,000—from Judge John Gleeson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
