Lehman Fights Trustees' Bid For Evidentiary Hearing

Law360, New York (January 24, 2012, 5:33 PM EST) -- Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. on Tuesday resisted requests for an evidentiary hearing before it can estimate the amount of money left in its bankruptcy case, saying Citibank NA and other financial institutions are attempting to stymie its reorganization by prematurely requesting the hearing.

LBHI and related debtor Structured Assets Securities Corp. filed a reply to objections by Citibank, U.S. Bank NA and Wilmington Trust Co. to a motion to estimate the amounts of their claims, as indenture trustees, on behalf of issuers of residential mortgage-backed securities....
