Nokia Wins Dismissal Of Cellular Design Patent Case

Law360 (July 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Nokia America Corp. on Thursday became the most recent phone company to fend off patent infringement allegations brought by design patent holder Tony Colida, an inventor who has sued almost all major cell phone makers at least once in the last decade.

Though Nokia won dismissal of Colida's appeal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Finnish company was denied its motion for sanctions against the inventor.
