Lawmakers Take Google To Task Over New Privacy Policy

Law360, New York (January 26, 2012, 5:48 PM EST) -- Members of Congress on Thursday called on Google Inc. to explain how its new privacy policy works, saying the company hasn’t made clear how it will protect user information or allow users to block data collection.

A bipartisan group of eight U.S. House of Representatives lawmakers sent a letter to Google CEO Larry Page seeking answers to a range of questions about how the company collects, shares and safeguards user data under the new policy.
