SanDisk, Ritek Settle Flash Memory Patent Dispute

Law360 (July 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- SanDisk Corp. has agreed to drop rival Taiwanese company Ritek Corp. from its infringement suit over a flash memory card patent after the companies struck a cross-licensing deal.

U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker of the Northern District of California on Monday dismissed SanDisk's infringement claims against Ritek, as well as Ritek's patent non-infringement and invalidity claims. The parties will bear their own costs and attorney's fees, with the California court to retain jurisdiction to enforce the settlement agreement.
