Cement Cos. Resolve Asbestos Case For $2.1M

Law360, New York (July 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two cement companies have settled a products liability suit involving a man who allegedly became sick after using their building materials, which contained asbestos.

As the trial against them headed into its second week, Kaiser Gypsum Co Inc. and Hanson Permanente Cement Inc. agreed to pay $2.1 million to resolve claims brought by a man and his wife in the Superior Court of California in San Francisco.
