Recycling Co. Schemed To Corner Market, Rival Says

Law360, New York (January 31, 2012, 5:31 PM EST) -- Clean Conversion Technologies Inc. on Monday lodged an antitrust suit alleging rival CleanTech Biofuels Inc. conspired to monopolize the market for a patented waste recycling service by colluding with other waste removal companies to predatorily buy up patent licenses.

In a complaint filed in California federal court, CCT alleges CleanTech, through a series of mergers and patent licensing acquisitions, conspired to obtain an illegal monopoly over the market for the patented pressurized steam classification conversion — a process used to recycle waste.
