Google Stands Up For New Privacy Policy

Law360, New York (January 31, 2012, 8:15 PM EST) -- Google Inc. addressed skepticism about its new privacy policy on Monday, saying in a letter to eight members of Congress that it remained committed to protecting users' privacy and control over their own information.

Google recently announced its plan to track user information across all of its products to create a more integrated Google platform, a move that raised privacy concerns for some critics. The new policy, which will combine more than 70 privacy documents into one simple policy, will take effect March 1.
