Gunderson Dettmer Advises Andreessen On $1.5B VC Fund

Law360, New York (January 31, 2012, 4:47 PM EST) -- California-based private equity firm Andreessen Horowitz has raised $1.5 billion for the firm's third venture capital fund to help it further invest in up-and-coming technology companies, the firm said Tuesday.

The venture capital company, which is known also by the shorthand a16z, raised the money for its Fund III, but doesn’t yet have any specific portfolio investments to disclose, according to company spokeswoman Nicki Dugan.
