PI Ordered To Reveal News Corp. Hacking Partners

Law360, New York (February 1, 2012, 2:27 PM EST) -- A London court on Wednesday ordered private investigator Glenn Mulcaire to reveal who at News Corp.'s defunct tabloid News of the World hired him to hack into actor Steve Coogan's phone.

The Court of Appeal in London declined Mulcaire's request to invoke a common-law privilege against self-incrimination and told the investigator to disclose who told him to intercept voice mail messages for Coogan and Nicola Phillips, an assistant to celebrity publicist Max Clifford.
