Texas Tort Firm Accuses Ex-Worker Of Stealing Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (February 2, 2012, 6:15 PM EST) -- Houston toxic tort law firm Shrader & Associates LLP on Monday hit its former office manager with a lawsuit accusing her of stealing confidential client information when she left the firm and feeding it to lawyers trying to launch a competing practice.

The suit claims Tara Robertson Stevens, who is currently under indictment on felony charges that she embezzled more than $200,000 from Shrader, obtained confidential, proprietary and privileged information from the firm’s computer server and shared the content with lawyers from Stefanides & Associates LLP,...
