Assistant U.S. Attorney Joins Gibson Dunn

Law360, New York (July 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander Southwell, who prosecuted on behalf of the Southern District of New York's securities and commodities fraud task force, has moved from city hall to Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP's New York office.

Southwell, who served from 2001 through 2007 in the U.S. Attorney's Office, investigated and prosecuted a wide range of cases under federal securities laws. He was also involved in investigating and prosecuting cyber-crimes, including child exploitation and software piracy.
