Screenwriter Says 'Machete' Directors Cut Her Out Of Credits

Law360, New York (February 2, 2012, 7:14 PM EST) -- The makers of the 2010 action flick “Machete” were sued on Wednesday in California state court by a screenwriter who says the film's directors breached a contract by absconding with her ideas for the movie without giving her payment or credit.

Yvonne DeLaRosa says in her complaint that “Machete” co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis utilized without permission ideas, characters and themes she had supplied Maniquis with while under the impression that she would be made a part of the film's production.
