USDA Won't Impose New Labor Provisions On Contractors

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 7:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture has withdrawn its proposed labor provisions that would have forced contractors to obtain certification that they complied with all federal labor laws.

The USDA said in a notice filed Monday in the Federal Register that it had pulled a proposed rule that would have required additional certification for government contractors after it received at least one comment opposed to the proposed Labor Law Violations’ clause.
