Orrick Associates To Rake In Up To $55K In Merit Bonuses

Law360, New York (February 6, 2012, 11:04 PM EST) -- Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP on Friday reportedly will dole out 2011 merit bonuses topping out at more than $55,000 to 80 percent of its associates.

The firm based the awards on work quality, productivity and contributions to the practice group and firm, according to a memo obtained by legal blog Above the Law.

Fifty-three percent of lower-level associates earned bonuses between $5,000 and $14,999, while 40 percent made between $15,000 and $24,999, according to ATL. Only 7 percent earned bonuses of less than $5,000....
