Law360, New York (February 8, 2012, 5:15 PM EST) -- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. lost a bid Wednesday to jettison one of two patents from an intellectual property dispute brought by General Electric Co. over wind turbine technology after a Texas federal judge found Mitsubishi failed to prove it did not infringe the patent.
“The court cannot decide as a matter of law that Mitsubishi's turbines do not infringe the patent,” U.S. District Judge Royal Ferguson wrote in an order denying Mitsubishi's motion for summary judgment.
