Kodak Cuts Digital Photo Business With Eye On Ch. 11 Exit

Law360, New York (February 9, 2012, 12:25 PM EST) -- As it struggles to cut costs in hopes of emerging from bankruptcy, Eastman Kodak Co. is phasing out its digital camera business and focusing on lucrative sectors like online- and retail-based photo printing and desktop inkjet printing, the company announced Thursday.

Faced with consumers who increasingly use mobile phones instead of digital cameras to take photos and videos, Kodak's digital camera business has lost money in recent years, contributing to financial problems that pushed it to seek Chapter 11 protection in New York last month....
