Judge Tosses Workers' Suit Against Unions, Fees

Law360 (July 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a case brought by five New York probation workers against several unions, alleging they were improperly collecting and distributing union fees.

In a decision Wednesday, Judge Michael A. Telesca of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York threw out the case brought by David H. Scheffer, Mary C. Bergevin, Joseph L. Stephany, Laura J. Swartzenberg and Rosario Zocco.
