ITC Keeps Export Restrictions On Russian Uranium

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 3:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday determined that an agreement restricting the volume of uranium exports from Russia must be upheld in order to prevent injury to the domestic uranium industry.

The trade agency joined the U.S. Department of Commerce in saying that Russia would dump its uranium merchandise on the U.S. market, if not for the maintenance of a suspension agreement struck in 1992 between the U.S. and Russia that shelved an investigation into the nation's potential dumping activities in exchange for an agreement...
