Mylan Escapes 6 Cases In Darvocet, Darvon MDL

Law360, New York (February 10, 2012, 8:39 PM EST) -- A Kentucky federal judge on Friday agreed to drop Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. from six cases in multidistrict litigation accusing the generics maker and others of concealing health risks associated with recalled painkillers Darvocet and Darvon, but rejected an attempt to stall the prosecution of two related cases.

In a mutual stipulation filed Thursday, the plaintiffs in 11 cases in the MDL agreed to dismiss their claims against Mylan with prejudice, while plaintiffs in a pair of other cases agreed to withdraw their opposition to Mylan’s motion...
