Enviro Group, South Lake Tahoe Settle City Plan Scrap

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 6:32 PM EST) -- The city of South Lake Tahoe on Monday resolved a dispute over its general plan with an environmental group, agreeing to pay its own legal fees in a dismissed California federal suit as long as the environmental group drops its appeal.

The League to Save Lake Tahoe sued the city in June, alleging that a proposed update to the general plan, which would allow taller buildings and higher-density developments, violated local environmental standards and would bring more traffic and pollution in the city, according to the...
