Power Co. Tells 9th Circ. Not To Put Brakes On $2B Project

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 6:32 PM EST) -- A San Diego power company on Friday asked the Ninth Circuit to affirm a lower court order denying environmental groups' request for an injunction on a $2 billion, 117-mile power line, saying sufficient environmental review has been taken.

San Diego Gas & Electric Co. said the Sunrise power line project, which will connect San Diego with growing renewable energy projects in the Imperial Valley desert, has passed muster with a handful of state regulators and survived legal challenges at every level of state and federal court....
