Glori's Oil Recovery Bacteria Win New Customer In Oman

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 1:35 PM EST) -- After inking deals in recent weeks with Norway's Statoil ASA and Brazil's Petroleo Brasileiro SA, Houston-based Glori Energy Inc. said Tuesday it will provide its patented bacteria to Oman's biggest oil company to squeeze more crude from the driller's wells.

Glori Energy signed a contract with Petroleum Development of Oman, which is 60 percent owned by the government. The deal is the company's first in the Middle East and will spur an expansion of its regional office in Muscat, Oman.
