BP's Deepwater Well Site Leader Needn't Testify For Now

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 8:41 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Tuesday quashed Transocean Ltd.'s subpoena for a key BP PLC witness in the upcoming trial for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill multidistrict litigation, but ordered the former well site director, who claims to be too sick to testify, to submit to a court-appointed physician's examination.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan also ordered Donald Vidrine’s attorneys to turn over all his medical records to the court, and said the physical examination should take place as soon as possible.
