Ex-Detroit Mayor Kilpatrick Faces Yet Another Charge

Law360, New York (February 16, 2012, 1:28 PM EST) -- Charges continue to pile up against ousted Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was hit Wednesday with a new extortion charge accusing him of using his power to shake down a towing contractor working with the Detroit Police Department for over $90,000.

A superseding indictment filed Wednesday adds the charge to an array of corruption charges already lodged against the disgraced mayor and others in his circle that include racketeering, extortion, fraud and witness intimidation.
