Liability Claims Against Dexatrim Maker Dismissed

Law360 (July 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge on Monday agreed to dismiss remaining product liability suits filed against Dexatrim maker the Delaco Co., three-and-a-half years after the company filed for bankruptcy.

Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, who has been overseeing the phenylpropanolamine product liability multidistrict litigation, agreed to dismiss almost 50 cases against Delaco after the claimants signed settlement agreements with the defunct company.
