Rothstein Pal Cops To Role In Illegal Campaign Contributions

Law360, New York (February 17, 2012, 2:57 PM EST) -- An associate of imprisoned ex-attorney Scott Rothstein, who has previously admitted to perpetrating a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme, pled guilty in Florida federal court on Friday to trying to buy political favor by making illegal campaign contributions.

Marybeth Feiss, 42, a former employee of bankrupt Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler PA, copped to one count of conspiracy to violate the Federal Election Campaign Act. She faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, though prosecutors will request a reduced sentence as part of...
